# Bdwgc upstream support for green threads (fibers)

bdwgc’s maintainer [ivmai](https://github.com/ivmai) merged in

The functionality proposed in [https://github.com/ivmai/bdwgc/pull/277](https://github.com/ivmai/bdwgc/pull/277) that was an outcome of the efforts for the in-progress effort of supporting MT in Crystal.

It happened that other user wanted to use the same feature at the same time 0.28.0 was released so there is definitely a chance this contribution will find its ways to support green threads (fibers) for other bdwgc users also.
