I am trying to understand how the crystal version requirement in shard.yml works.
I understand this “\>= 1.0.0” and this “\>= 1.0.0, \< 2.0.0” , a bit harder, but the [docs](https://github.com/crystal-lang/shards/blob/master/docs/shard.yml.adoc) also explain the ~ (e.g. “~\> 1”)

However I also saw a few shards that have one of the following:
“\>= 0.36.0 - 1.0”
“\>= 0.36.0 - 1.0”
“0.25.0 - 1.0”
Are these valid values for the “crystal” field?

No, they are not.
