Hello!

I’m migrating to VSCode. I was looking for a Crystal extension when I noticed that there a more than a few.

[https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=faustinoaq.crystal-lang](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=faustinoaq.crystal-lang) seems popular, but am I missing a better one?

I wonder if it would make sense to have one recommended, officially supported VSCode extension, by the way!

Thanks,

– Thibaut

Well, it’s the best one as far as I know. The extension you mentioned is hosted on the same organisation with Scry (Crystal code analysis server)

> This organization hosts Crystal extensions for various text editors and IDEs - Crystal Tools

Hello,

I use:

- Crystal support (with Scry) [https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=faustinoaq.crystal-lang](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=faustinoaq.crystal-lang)
- Helpful for string interpolation [https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=aliariff.auto-add-brackets](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=aliariff.auto-add-brackets)
- Static code analysis [https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=veelenga.crystal-ameba](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=veelenga.crystal-ameba)
- Identify keyword / end with colors (under evaluation, not really helpful but why not) [https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=jduponchelle.rainbow-end](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=jduponchelle.rainbow-end)
