i use Manjaro too, but desktop env is plasam.

I’ve noticed there’s a lot of Crystal people over at Alpine.
Apart for that I don’t really get how linux distros have anything to with Crystal, :P

Same for me, LXQt is very solid. Lubuntu 19.04 (dev branch) atm

I really like antergos, but had a few stability issues and yes, if you keep several months without updating you better be prepared to face the consequences!
So in the end I’m settling with the latest ubuntu lts…

I also use Manjaro, it’s nice to see there are several people here using it. DE is GNOME.
It’s very beginner-friendly, but you don’t have to be a beginner to use it (you can be brand new to linux or be very advanced 
).
