Born 1948. Retired 2010.
Has been in software since 1975. Mostly in communications; middleware and brokers.
Like design, architecture, ER (relationships), OO, all kind of drawings that will support every phases of software development and support.
Have used C, Assemblers, JS, PHP, SQL, Smalltalk, Mathematica, Rust etc (GitHub/willy610)
and Crystal for some weeks.
Spend time changing my mind on energy issues. And Crystal seems to have a small energy footprint in runtime. One reason to use it. Hope separate compilation will succeed because of that reason too.
Find Crystal very handsome. Powerful, expressive, clever basic functionality. Will become first choice in most new things
Looking forward to try parallel and concurrent on a genetic program I have in another language.
