Hey folks,
krikri is an Ansible compatible engine (about 99% of the builtin collection) - In other words: it runs your existing Ansible playbooks without modifications.
I absolutely love Ansible and wanted to see if I could get AI to rewrite it in Crystal and if it could make it faster.
It’s 2 times faster on cold runs than Ansible and about 7 times faster on warm runs.
I also compared against Mitogen: 1.3 times faster on cold runs and about 3 times faster on warm runs.
I’ve tested it against thousands of existing Ansible roles from Ansible galaxy to ensure compatibility.
There’s obviously some things that krikri doesn’t support like all the custom Python plugins, inventory plugins and community modules.
