It’s a great showcase for Crystal’s strengths. And it also highlights some weak points. We can learn from this.
The focus on purity, and the lengths to go reaching it, is quite impressive. Avoiding dependencies seems like a wise choice, but excluding them entirely is probably not every one’s cup of tea. But it’s a strong testament to the powers of Crystal’s standard lib.
Anyway, this post is worth reading and learning about some maybe less-common techniques and ideas.
