Spinel - Experimental Ruby Compiler for Standalone Executables

Just ran across the new experimental compiler Matz is working on that compiles Ruby to standalone executables. Sounds pretty performant but it’s very early days. Anyone play with it yet? GitHub - matz/spinel · GitHub kind of curious what some of your takes are since Crystal initially seemed to be a “compiled Ruby.”
