Daniel Stenberg has published a great post about how he approaches his role in the curl project:
The Crystal project doesn’t have a BDFL position.
But most of those principles actually apply pretty well to everyone involved with Open Source software projects (and probably even wider scopes than that).
Some might be more relevant for maintainers, or contributors, and ultimately, these are good principles for any project.
So let’s try to follow them and make our Open Source projects and communities good and productive.
